ALPHA-PLUS Corporation impact wrenches feature a patented roller clutch that is an efficient, high energy producing impact mechanism with a minimum of moving parts. As the cage is rotates by the rotor, the rollers are cammed in and out by the hammer and anvil with the impact blows being rtansmitted along the longitudinal axist of the rollers. This design avoids sharp re-entrant angles on the hammer and anvil to eliminate high stress concentrations which lead to failure ot the hammer anvil parts. The combination of this clutch and our precision-built air motors results in a long lasting impact wrench which is capable if efficient operation at high torque applications.
